To continue delivering innovative solutions across critical sectors and proactively engage in policy conversations impacting their business, Merrick sought the creation of a strategic government affairs program that would help them stay ahead of policy shifts and actively contribute to the policies shaping their industry.

Strategy
Pac/West Strategies partnered with Merrick to build a government affairs program from the ground up, designed to increase policy influence, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and elevate the company’s public profile. Parts of our strategy included:
- Launch Merrick’s first government affairs program to establish a formal presence in public policy.
- Create an internal policy panel to coordinate strategic input and engagement.
- Facilitate direct outreach to elected officials and regulatory leaders at all levels.
- Provide expert feedback in key policy discussions to shape favorable outcomes.
- Position Merrick as a trusted resource to policymakers and stakeholders.
- Elevate Merrick’s visibility and credibility in the public policy arena.
RESULT
Since becoming a client of Pac/West Strategies, Merrick has an ongoing government affairs strategy to better navigate the complex policy landscape, build relationships with key policymakers, and bolster their presence in policy conversations at all levels of government.
